Episode Summary

The Cask of Amontillado
Angry over an insult from his friend during Carnival, Montresor takes revenge on Fortunato. He tells him about a cask of Amontillado a rare and valuable wine in his family's wine cellar. He leads the drunk Fortunato to a room in the dank cellar and chains him to the wall, he tells Fortunato of the family's coat of arms - a golden foot crushing a snake whose fangs are embedded in the foot's heel - with the motto Nemo me impune lacessit (No one strikes me with impunity). Montresor leaves him chained to the wall and he seals him in the room, stone by stone.moreless
