I'm glad that it is out on DVD. But there is something I was wondering. A lot of DVDs release the syndicated versions of the episodes instead of the full network versions. Did they release the full network versions or the syndicated versions? I'm wondering because the DVDs say that it is the first season, for example, instead of the complete first season. Not sure it matters either way since I'll probably get the DVDs anyways.

    Hi Adam,

I didn't realize there was a difference between the two. I expect that it's the Network ones on the DVDs. With Perry Mason, because all episodes were 52 minutes (as was the custom in the 1960s), six minutes were chopped out of every episode for syndication. I watched the syndication of one episode to compare it to the DVD and that was the case - they cut out entire scenes. All the DVD releases are 52 minutes. Nowadays, it's more like 42 minutes of actual programming. I watched the syndicated versions years ago and only took the DVDs out of the library recently so I could complete the guide here.

    Hope that helps.

    Karl
