When a TV producer is accused of murdering one of Hollywood's biggest TV stars, Matlock travels to Hollywood to represent him in the case. As Matlock solves this case, he realizes that everyone has a motive to kill off the TV star. The episode also features some cameo appearances from hugely popular TV stars of that time, such as Alf, Betty White, Rhea Pearlman, and Malcom-Jamal Warner. Also look for Andy Griffith star Aneta Corseut (aka Helen Crump) in a cameo appearance that helps Matlock in solving the case.
It could have done without the Hollywood news footage, which sort of distracts the audience from the main plot, though the celebrity appearances were admittedly entertaining, but this episode still retains what Matlock does best, by entertaining its audience and figuring out who's behind the murder. Plus it was fun seeing Andy teaming up with Helen Crump again, even if she was only in one scene.
