  • A Television series that was part of The "NBC Sunday Night Mystery Movies" wheel series. Dennis Weaver play the part of Marshal Sam McCloud of Taos, New Mexico. This show was based on a 1968 Clint Eastwood film titled "Coogan's Bluff".

A classic show from Universal Studios. Dennis Weaver puts in a fine performance as The Marshal from Taos New Mexico. He is usually confused with some who comes from Arizona, Texas or Oklahoma. In a couple of episodes someone called him "Tex" being he was from Texas or a member of The Texas Ranger. McCloud goes to New York City to learn about Big City police work with New York's Finest and giving his cantankerous boss Chief Peter B. Clifford and his partner Sgt. Joe Broadhurst lesson in frontier justice.

Diana Muldar has a recurring role as Christine "Chris" Coughlin, McCloud's Girlfriend. and there are guest stars galore with Carl Betz(The Donna Reed Show), Gig Young(Academy Award For "They Shoot Horses, Don't They"), Larry Hagman(I Dream Of Jeannie, Dallas), Teri Garr, John Denver, Ed Ames, Jessica Walter, Ross Martin, Harry Guardino and many others.

This series was based on a 1968 Clint Eastwood Movie titled "Coogan's Bluff. Which was about a Western type lawman going to New York City To pick up an escaped criminal only to lose him in the concrete canyons of New York City but he gets his man with or without the help of New York's finest.
