      Cyrano de Bergerac is an 1897 played by Rostrand, a fictionalization of the life of the real Savinien de Cyrano de Bergerac. One of the play's most famous scenes has Cyrano supplying his unwitting romantic rival, Christian, with love poems to recite to Roxane, the woman that they both love.
