"McKeever & The Colonel" was one of those short-lived shows that has stuck with me over the years. Maybe because my family loved Phil Silvers as Bilko, plus I was always Jonesing over the military school ads in the back pages of National Geographic, but I just thoroughly enjoyed this show. Like one reviewer on IMDB said, "Dennis The Menace" goes to military school, with Scott Lane as McKeever, the Dennis Mitchell character, the always steady Allyn Joslyn as the Colonel, the Mr Wilson character, and Jackie Coogan as the lovable goofball sergeant, as opposed to the lovable goofball Uncle Fester. Since I was a kid, I've always been opposed to spinoffs or merchandising, but I actually had a couple of "McKeever & The Colonel" comics, even though I think they were Gold Key, which I rated just ahead of Classics Illustratedmoreless
