The Nine Network (ended 2009)
|They have separated and according to gossip pages it has become really messy.|
Just today I read a Live Journal posting about an article that stated Aaron Jeffrey is about to film his last appearance on the show. That's so sad - he's the last original cast member.
Looks like he might stay on...
But I read somewhere that he broke up with "Fiona" (can't remember her real name) when he move to Sydney to be with his daughter. Also read that he's dating Peta Wilson (not sure if I got the name right). The chick from the Nikita series... Don't know if its true or not though.
|But it's just not like it used to be and it's already going downhill now, so writing off another original character would ruin it for me|
If he does leave I don't think that it's a matter of being written off, I think it'd be by his choice.
Moved from a duplicate thread:
AARON Jeffery has spent more than six years playing Alex Ryan on McLeod's Daughters but has left the show because he was exhausted and unhappy with the show's direction.
The last original man or woman standing from the show's original cast will be on air until early next year but has officially left the production.
After taking a break he is now working in New Zealand but said from there it was time for him to leave the popular Australian farm drama.
"When you're doing a series day in and day out, it's a battle to stay creatively present," he said.
"I'm not happy with the way the show has evolved either - it had crept into soap territory, and that's not the sort of meat I like to chew on."
Why his character departs is a secret but Jeffery, 36, is already working on Outrageous Fortunes, a politically incorrect New Zealand drama.
I have found a couple of articles online that talk about Aaron leaving the series:
Here's a snippet from the above link:
"While [Simmone Jade] Mackinnon says she has no intentions of leaving the show, not so her colleague and screen hubbie-to-be, Jeffery.
So here's hoping he will be back one day! It really all depends on the send-off created for Alex Ryan, I guess.
