Brick had been lying there under the bridge it seemed for a long time... how come Becky approached him as if his dead body didn't smell and managed to put her hand in his pocket and get out the engagement ring? Even if she loved Brick I don't think she could really have stood the smell of his rotting body, I know that sounds gross, but it is a fact.
