I just read that March 10th's "Burn Baby Burn" (Part 1) got 16th place in the weekly ratings. This is the first time I recall seeing Medium in the Top 20 this season. I know it's only there because everything else is still in repeats...but still, that's pretty cool.

I'd bet that this will be the show's one and only Top 20 appearance this season though, since new episodes of other shows are starting to return (most notably Dancing with the Stars and CBS's comedies this week).

That's awesome news! Actually, it made it into the Top 20 once in January, too. I'd be willing to bet that the "Burn Baby Burn (2)" episode is likely to chart in the Top 20, as well, but you're right Edward_Nigma, that with other shows coming back the competition to make it into the Top 20 will become a lot tougher.

Oh wow, last week's Burn Baby Burn conclusion did actually make it in the Top 20! I'm sorta surprised. It had a 3-way tie for 14th place. Seems like we can be pretty sure a 5th season will exist. I have a feeling it will be another mid-season one though. Better than nothing I guess!

TV Guide stated that if NBC drops the series, CBS will almost certainly pick it up. Repeats of the series on Lifetime have started up too.

Really, CBS will pick it up? The ratings don't seem good enough for CBS to take it...but that's good news though! If Medium is back next year Glenn might have double duty, as he's making a pilot for one of the networks.

Well, that's what I read. I agree that CBS generally aims for bigger fish, but maybe they have other reasons for wanting it to stick around.

I also read in Entertainment Weekly that a recent episode ranked really high in DVR rankings.

As for Caron -- I'll watch anything by him. I'm still peeved his Now and Again wasn't given more of a chance.

I'd prefer the series to stay put on NBC, but at least if they decided not to renew it (which will officially make them stupid!) then I'll be glad to see it continue on CBS. We'll probably know the show's fate (for a fifth season) within the next month or so.

Actually, we should know tomorrow! NBC is being all weird this season and is announcing next year's schedule on April 2nd! With the good ratings recently, I'm sure Medium will be back.

Oh, and also Medium was tied for 14th place last week in the ratings - 3 weeks running now in the Top 20.

Hmm well, no top 20 for Medium the last 2 weeks, but Monday's episode got a 7.0/11, which is better than usual - pretty awesome.

For the week of 04/07/08 - 04/13/08 (which was for the episode "Lady Killer"), Medium placed in the top 20 again!

It ranked # 16 for the week with 10.8 million viewers, surpassing Survivor, Don't Forget the Lyrics, Hell's Kitchen and Boston Legal in the top 20 list.

The April 14th episode "Partners in Crime" did not win its time slot, but it did take the 18-49 crown, earning a 6.1/11 rating.

Yeah I just saw that now, that's great. Maybe people tuned in because of Rosanna? But yeah, this week's wasn't so good and won't be in the top 20. Oh well.

Thanks for the tv by the numbers link, TesserT. It's worth pointing out that that article said, "Notably NBC's Medium is a consistent performer and had 9.54m viewers. Not as good as CSI: Miami's 13.86, but for those of you who buy-in to the importance of lead-in, Medium had the dying Deal or No Deal while CSI: Miami had Two and a Half Men."

That's certainly good to hear. Medium was NBC's third-highest rated show for the week of April 28-May 4.
