This episode was terrific from start to finish but some of the events have left me wondering if the decisions made by the characters are in any way connected to the fact that the show is about to reach the end of its run.
Allison keeps dreaming about a young girl who died in a fire but it appears that a fireman rescued her at the last minute. Why then is her picture on the wall of the local fire station as being among those who have not been saved? More dreams lead Allison to realise that the fireman didn't rescue her, he killed her instead and it is soon apparent that he is responsible for several others killings which are set up to look like accidents involving fire as well.
Meanwhile, in a surprise announcement, Devalos decides to run for Mayor of Phoenix which leaves Allison wondering if she will have a job should he be elected. Finally, she decides that she wants to return to school and finish her law degree when Joe convinces her that it is never too late to begin (or finish) something.
