Allison turns to Cynthia Keener (who is now in jail) when she starts dreaming of a former kidnap victim who Cynthia had once rescued.
  • A great episode,The story line,of Cynthia Keener, now in prison, and Alison needing her help. The whole story revolves on two levels,Joe's work related decisions to work away, and the mystery of a kidnap and the solving of the case.Medium at its bestmoreless

A great episode, Joe, knowing what he must do for his family, and Alison,of course not agreeing at first;they work it out. The story line,of Cynthia Keener, now in prison, and Alison needing her help and the deep connection they both have is very good to see. The whole story revolves on two levels,Joe's work related decisions to work away, and the solving of a kidnap and the solving of the case. The whole episode once again is what Medium is all about,Alison and her dreams,Joe and his logical answers, the deep discussions of Joe and Alison, excellent. The interaction of Cynthia and Alison in the prison was very good.I think Angelica Huston will be future, that i am sure of.moreless
  • Best ep in ages - unpredictable; Angelica Huston guest stars; Joe exhibits signs of backbone and independent thinking! All promising for season end and next season

Refreshing. I have been bi*ching about this show for a while because IMO it really has been in a major rut for not just this season but last as well. Increasingly Joe has seemed like a hollow shell of his former self. In this ep he takes a stand to do what is necessary to have a meaningful career and stay with his start-up after it is purchased by a san diego based company (while getting the best possible compromise for his family). Alison had an infuriatingly petulant and sulky response at first when she heard he'd be workin in SD three days a week (get real lady!!).... but thankfully she got over it and ultimately supported him (and, i liked how they should good communication in the midst of her sulk-fest she at least explained to Joe that she was willing to make the sacrifice and while sad about what they'd give up she was happy for him and just couldn't show it yet). The mystery of the week was GREAT, involving Angelica Huston's character Cynthia Keener, who got to

1)do something redeeming and important relating to a poor misguided and nearly 'lost (but living) soul' from a previous case....2)get over her self-pitying and self-despising depression in the big house.... 3)express deep regret over killing her daughter's killer..... 4) rehabilitate the morality of her character sufficiently for a potential return to the show (fingers crossed!!!)

Wow - that's a lot of good stuff for a single episode! Keep up the good work Medium!!moreless
