Allison dreams of two couples enjoying their evening at one of the couple's cottages in the woods watching a truth-reality television show which one of the woman appeared on, but the fun wears off when one of the woman hears noises from outside. The men go out to look if anyone is around the house and its when a skeleton-masked man walks up to the two girls with expectation of murdering them before Allison awakens. Allison is called to the cottage she dreamed of to investigate the murder of the couple who owned it. Allison wonders what happened in the cottage the night before that didn't occur in her dream. She figures out that her dream was a vision of six months in the past, where intruders did walk into the cottage with intention of killing those inhabiting it. The woman who appeared on TV was raped by one of the intruders, but she managed to grab his weapon, kill him and kill the other intruder. They had discovered that the intruders had a lot of money with them, and decided to split it between both couples, except one didn't have enough, and killed the other couple who had half the cash to gain it. As easy as it is to commit a crime, it's even harder to look into it... Joe has trouble remembering a man's "brilliant idea" for a project, and is put down publically by him. Joe discovers that the man had readjusted his idea, and made a big fuss about it to gain something he will never get in return.moreless
  • Alison the human lie detector.

    7.0
This episode was okay - the human lie detector thing had some novelty for the first fifteen minutes. But overall the episode like others this season has a feeling of a tired out formula show. Joe's subplot was predictable. Someone was suing him, saying that Joe stole their idea for mirror enhanced solar power energy invention. The resolution of that one was pretty easy to see coming. The murder investigation had a couple of twists but not for long. Also: something seems wrong with the way all the killers on this show are so blase about murdering often not just one but multiple people - this was typical in that sense. The domestic scenes with the kids also seem very been there done that lately. It feels like the writers are recycling the same old concepts repeatedly. Things need to get shaken up.moreless
