Meet My Folks

On Meet My Folks, the parents of a 20-something male or female get to choose between three bachelors/bachelorettes, deciding which one will win a week-long trip to Hawaii with their son/daughter. The three contestants usually arrive on a Friday, spending the weekend at the family's house. They are forced to share many secrets and go through different trials throughout the weekend, including a lie detector test as a final challenge. Ex-girlfriends often stop by, videos containing secrets from the contestants' friends and family often get delivered, and unexpected early morning excursions are all too common during the intense competition of Meet My Folks. Meet My Folks was cancelled by NBC in 2003 after its second season. MyNetworkTV began airing repeats of the show on September 12th, 2007. Based on how the repeats performed MyNetworkTV was possibly going to begin producing new episodes of the show, but that never happened and the last repeat episode was shown on June 27th, 2008.
