    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • When Coop and his friends are on the moon, their hair gets blown in the wind after an explosion, though such shouldn't be possible because there is no air on the moon.

    • QUOTES (8)

      • Glorft Commander: Did you locate the earther's position?
Gorrath: Errrr... there wasn't enough time?
Glorft Commander: (prepares to strike Gorrath) You incompetent!
        Gorrath: Not the face!

      • Coop (ranting): OK you slimy chumps. First you come back after I kill you, then you try to beat up my cousin, and now you think you're gonna shoot the moon into the earth? Well, I got your trigger right here!

      • Skippy: Whoa, who's that chick?
        Kiva: Chick?
Coop: That's Kiva, she's from the future.
        Skippy: Yeah right.
Coop: Kiva, tell 'im something about the future.
Kiva: Little boys like you are loaded into cannons to be used for target practice for chicks like me.

      • (After Coop has ejected Skippy out of the passenger seat)
Jamie: You're the best baby-sitter ever.

      • Jamie: I think I'm gonna throw up. Skippy, gimme your hat.

      • Glorft Warmaster: I will return, Earther! Your underdeveloped brain can't comprehend what I will do to you!
Coop: Well, me and my underdeveloped brain will be waiting. (Coop realizes what he said) Hey!

      • Kiva: Do you realize that you may have permanently altered the planet's ecosystem by damaging the moon?
        (A long silence occurs)
Coop: What's that got to do with bubblegum icecream?
        Kiva: Nothing, let's go.

      • Skippy (holding up a device): I think they need this.
Coop: Better let a responsible adult hold this.
(Coop begins to yell at Gorrath, though he nearly loses the device)
Skippy: Should have let a responsible child hold it.

    • NOTES (5)

    • ALLUSIONS (4)

      • The Glorft Mothership in this episode has been redesigned to resemble the cruiser the SDF-1 from the series Macross.

      • This episode's title is a play on the movie Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.

      • When Coop mentions that something was too big to be an engine, it reflects the way Han Solo referred to the Death Star by saying that it was too big to be a space station.

      • When Coop uses the video game's gun to control Megas' blaster, he runs out of ammo and he points it down before he starts shooting again. This is a reference to many of the early Nintendo and Super Nintendo shooting games, which required players to point their gun towards the ground in order to reload.
