EDIT
Junk in the Trunk
AIRED:
Megas is having some serious problems and if it isn’t repaired, it will likely get destroyed in the next battle. Kiva realizes that there’s only one planet in this time period that has the resources to fix Megas, so they head off to the planet which turns out to be a waste disposal planet used by several alien races. Once they land on the planet, they meet the creature in charge of the planet, though it doesn’t take long for them to realize the true reasons behind his innate hospitality.moreless

    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • Sign: Coop's practicing includes batting a wrecking ball into Jersey City. The building it initially strikes is labeled ".COM", with a sign reading "... and therefore obviously empty".

      • Throughout this episode, V'arsin's pants change colors in order to match the color of his skin, though it changes back to black in other scenes within the episode.

      • While traveling to the Junk Planet, the passengers inside Megas switch places during several of the scenes.

    • QUOTES (10)

      • V'arsin: I can fix this...
(Camera cuts to an orbital view where we see the planet explode)

      • Coop: We're all set.
Jamie: Great, let's just get out of here.
Coop: No way. This guy sic'd a giant worm thingy on me, chased my pals around with zombie robots and made me break a perfectly good photonic stabilizer. I'm putting you in a hurt locker and slammin' the door, junk man.

      • Goat: Photonic Stabalizer?
(He tries to pick up a heavy part but fails, so he picks up a small object)
        Goat: Photonic Stabalizer?
        Jamie (agreeing): Photonic Stabalizer.

      • Kiva: Where are we gonna find a Photonic Stabalizer?
Jamie: Maybe we could find one on that planet we found before?
Coop (thinking about the wrong planet): I loved those guys!
        Jamie: No, that junk planet!

      • Goat: Which way do we go red?
Kiva (after squeezing Goat's hand): You are going with Jamie.

      • Kiva: Do you know if anything here is from the future say... a thousand years or so?

      • Kiva: I still don't understand how you fixed the stabilizer.
Coop: When it doubt, duck it!
(Coop shows her a roll of duct-tape)
Coop: And you said it couldn't be fixed.
        Kiva: Primitive, but amazing technology!

      • Jamie: So, if we've got his Photonic Stabilizer, what's stabilizing that thing?
        Coop: Good point.

      • Coop: So, how are we going to pay for the parts? I didn't get any cash from my mom.
Kiva: We could always swap Goat for the part.

      • Kiva (after taping up Goat): When in doubt, duck it.
        Jamie: Nice.

    • NOTES (6)

    • ALLUSIONS (5)

      • When V'arsin's robot approaches Megas, the Hula girl starts wiggling. This is similar to the scene on Jurassic Park when the T-rex approaches the SUV. and a cup of water starts vibrating.

      • Coop's use of Duct-Tape in this episode was very similar to the nature in which The Red Green Show used Duct-Tape.

      • The zombie robots that appeared in this episode looked similar to the zombie robots that appeared in the video game Metal Arms: Glitch in the System.

      • The Junk Planet in this episode looks very similar to the Junk Planet in an episode of Transformers.

      • The imaginary robot that Goat dreams up, the Darleen, bears a strong resemblance to the Ingrid type robots from the anime Pilot Candidate.
