Before the first commercial break, Megas was pulled underground by giant arms. However, when the commercial break resumes, Megas is on the ground and a plant emerges in the form of the parade floats.
When Coop, Jamie and Kiva are watching the parade, they are standing in front of a building. However, when they are first hit by the plant a few scenes later, Megas is standing in the middle of an intersection.
During this episode, Cool, Kiva and Jamie were eating Thanksgiving dinner at their house, though they later go and watch the parade. However, the parade takes place early in the morning while Thanksgiving Dinner doesn't take place until the evening, as things take time to cook.
(Coop and Jamie were laughing about Augie growling at them)
Coop: What the heck is going on? Are we on T.V.? Hey Mom!
Jamie: Dude, you're being called out, by a parade balloon of Augie the Adorable Aardvark!
Coop: (giggles) Maybe he'll kill us with kindness!
Kiva: (spotted Augie the Adorable Aardvark) What is that thing?
Jamie: That's Augie the Adorable Aardvark.
Coop: Lame! (honking the cars' horn) Hey Augie! Get off the street and let the real balloons take over! (Augie the Adorable Aardvark stared at Coop and growled loudly at him)
Coop: Here comes the best part: the balloons!
Jamie: (as the superhero character balloon floats by) Oh yeah. He's awesome. He's got his own TV show, and it's awesome.
Coop (ranting): Alright, you holiday-wrecking chump! You trash the city, busted up all them balloons and ruined my parade! You want heat? I'll give you heat!
(Megas is standing in front of a building)
Little Girl: Daddy, I can't see!
Girl's Dad: Hey, down in front!
Jamie: Maybe you guys should have got here earlier like we did!
Girl's Dad: Earlier!? We live here!
Kiva: is this part of the parade?
Jamie: And ever since then, people have give each other gifts. That's why it's called Thanksgiving. So you should give me some cool stuff.
Kiva: Well, what are you gonna give me?
Jamie: Hey, we all can't be givers. I'm a taker, I just get stuff I can't help it, it's tradition.
(When Coop is pointing out balloons at the parade)
Coop: That's Deputy Duck from the Deputy Duck Show.
Jamie: And those are the Fabio Brothers...
Kiva (interrupting him): Let me guess, from the Fabio Brothers Show?
Coop: No, from the video game.
Jamie: Man, that turkey rocked.
Coop (after belching): Sure did.
Jamie: So Kiva, do you understand what Thanksgiving is about now?
Kiva: Eating yourself sick and fighting off a hoard of mutant cartoon characters?
Coop: Works for me!
Kiva: This is delicious, but why is it called stuffing?
(Coop grabs a handful of stuffing and he stuffs it in his mouth)
Coop (with his mouth full of stuffing): I dunno.
Episode's Villain: Kynok
Some of Kiva's behavior in this episode is very similar to Coop and Jamie's behavior; this seems to indicate that she is becoming influenced by hanging out with them so often.
In Jamie's description of the first Thanksgiving that he told Kiva, the gifts that are given are gold bars, money, a poster of an attractive pilgrim girl and an Atari 2600.
Kiva is from Earth though she didn't know what Thanksgiving was all about. This indicates that the holiday had either phased out sometime in the future, or the citizens of the future stopped celebrating it due to the war and gradually forgot about it.
This episode is the Megas XLR Thanksgiving special.
In this episode, Coop destroys one of the rings of Saturn.
This episode takes place in New York City, though only one sign in this episode indicates such. When the manhole cover is blown off during the parade, if you look carefully, you can see 'NYC Sewers' written on it.
Ending Credits: Though Megas saved the day by messing up most of Central Park, Coop made the year's Thanksgiving Day Parade the best ever and everyone cheers him on in response.
Deputy Duck is most likely a combination of Deputy Dog and either Daffy or Donald Duck, all classic cartoon characters.
One of the Thanksgiving parade balloons resembles Superman, but with spiked hair like Goku from Dragon Ball. This unnamed character would seem to be an amalgam of these 2 heroes, both of whom have starred on Cartoon Network shows.
In this episode, Augie the Adorable Aardvark looked very similar to the video game character Sonic the Hedgehog. Some of the attacks that Gynok used while in the form of Augie were also similar to some of the attacks that Sonic had in various video games and animated programs.
Jamie's daydream during the parade has him dressed up as the Joker from Batman:The Animated Series, and two of the girls beside him are dressed up like Harley Quinn from that series. In addition, he quotes the Joker played by Jack Nicholson in the parade scene from Tim Burton's "Batman" film by saying "Hubba, hubba, hubba, who do you trust?"
The Fabio Brothers in this episode are very similar to the Mario Brothers from various video games.
