Broadway actress/singer Melba Moore played a divorced parent and community center director in her first and only TV series.

The first time it aired was on the night of the Challenger disaster - January 28, 1986. As a result, hardly anybody saw the show and it was yanked afterwards. Then CBS brought the series back in August of 1986, but low ratings prevailed and it was cancelled for good.moreless
