Jake recites the first third of William Carlos Williams' poem "The Dance."
Billy: Oh my God, Alison, I left the stove on!
Matt: If it wasn't terrifying, it wouldn't be love.
Jane (to Michael, about Sydney): My job, my apartment. What's next, you?
Michael (to Jane): Why is it every time you get involved with Sydney, you end up doing things you regret?
Alison: Thanks Billy.
Billy: You're welcome, Eleanor.
Terrence: You would rather hurt someone who cares about you than risk being hurt yourself.
Rhonda: You bet your sweet ass!
First appearances of Laura Leighton as Sydney Andrews. Aside from being a recurring star, Laura will later go on to become a regular and headline the reboot of Melrose Place in 2009.
The singing group hired by Terrence serenades Rhonda with "Since I Fell for You."
This is the first of two episodes that Linden Ashby will appear in as Charles Reynolds before joining the cast several years later as Dr. Brett Cooper. Ironically it is also this season that Rob Estes will make the first of his two appearances as Sam Fowler. He too would go on to join the cast in later years as Kyle McBride.
The episode title is a pun of the 1992 film, Single White Female.
