This show continues to grow on me and it gets better every week.

I like how all the doctors discuss Connor's case and we got to see a little bit of interaction between Chloe and Jack. And he was right about what he told her. She should take a step back for a minute and think if she really wants to be a psychologist.

I have to say that the kid playing Connor did a great job. Belle has proven to be a kiss ass and very hypocritical. Belle's and Jack's reaction to Connor's 'tantrum' only lets you know what kind of doctors they are. I loved the way Jack approached Connor. The way he talked to him, leading his fear, anger and sadness to a place where he could work on them and stop him from suffering. The scene at the hospital bed and the swing are just amazing.

Poor Nora. She can manage people, but her personal life is a mess. It was nice how she asked Jack for advice. I can't blame her daughter, caught up between her mother's disease and her father's new family.

Becky... I hope Jack finds a way to convince her to come to him. At least he's getting close to her.moreless

  • Still not quite sure of how i feel about this show

As a psychologist i think the stories and the patients are interesting and i also find it very interesting the unusual techniques that Jack presents.
I think sometimes he exagerates a little too much.
Im not a big fan of the images of the patients "delirious", i think they could do a better job with that.
Some of the characters are kinda....useless and the most interesting ones are not being used enough.
I like the show and i like the story but i think there are some points that they need to work on, and then it would be a GREAT show, and not just a ok/good one.moreless

  • A boy of eight suffers under his own violent outbreaks and tries to kill himself. Noras daudhter is visiting and we get a glimpse of Becky.

    "Mediocre"
Well, I'm undecided on the quality of this episode. First of all, I couldn't really follow the case. So, the boy is diagnosed with bipolar disorder and obviously needs medication. But what did Jack want to achieve in trying to guide Conor through his video game in the head? Maybe I just didn't get it, but I should have liked some more explaining. The general idea of this episode could have used much more to underline the difficulty in trying to help mentally ill children when parents and society are resisting. This is still a taboo in our world and needs more attention.
Sadly, there wasn't much interaction between Jack and Veronica. Carl continues to bewilder me with his actions. That guy would positively freak me if he was my doctor! I'm still not sure where the writers want to go with that character. Is he just evil? Has he a good reason for being so malicious?
I was however totally surprised, that Nora has a daughter and that Aynsley is not living with her. I would have thought that she would be one not to let her child live somewhere else.
Well, next week I would like to see more of Jack and Veronica, more than one patient, less zippers and unconnected views of the hospital entrance and I think it is about time, that we learned the whole story of Becky.
By the way, does anyone believe that this is supposed to be L.A.? The weather, only dark haired people...moreless

    • Conor: If that machine I was in finds something wrong with my brain, can I get a new one? Jack: We can't give you a new one, Conor, but you know what, we can make the one you've got, work a lot better. Conor: But I don't want to be like this anymore. Jack: Trust me, we're gonna make it right. Edit
    • Jack: Do you remember what you were thinking when you picked up the knife in the kitchen? Conor: Yeah. I was thinking that I was broken, like some of my old video games. I was thinking that I needed to be thrown out. Jack: Is that what's you're doing with your fingers, playing your old video games? Conor: I play a new one I made up. I started playing it in my head. I have to get away from the demons. I'm trying to run away but they keep coming after me. Jack: So what's the object of the game? Where are you running to? Conor: A safe place. I haven't made it there yet. Edit
    • Connor: He says I'm not normal. What's wrong with me? Jack: You just... You just sort of wire a little bit different than most of us. There's a lot of really really smart people that wire a little bit different. Connor: Like who? Jack: Like um... Beethoven, Isaac Newton, Vincent Van Gogh... (Connor is clueless) Robert Downey Jr. (Connor looks at him) Ironman? Connor: Really? Jack: Yeah! Connor: Cool! Edit
