Just finished watching it. I thought Leon was supposed to tell Arthur that he would make sure nothing happens to Gwen. I really enjoyed that ep. I would say it went faster than last weeks. Merlin hoarding food for Arthur was pretty funny.

Oh my god how exciting was that. Poor merlin felt really sorry for him. Favourite scenes were the skeleton hand chasing merlin. I wish arthur had grabbed gwen and kissed her. How evil is morganna

I thought that Arthur and Gwen were going to lock lips in that scene. They did seem to be getting closer together.

Whoa! Awesome Arthur/Merlin interaction. Merlin is so not the same. He tells Arthur that he was dying and that he'll be on his side like he always is 'protecting you'. And that line about 'what we've got: you and me' So far it is Arthur's blindness the only obstacle for him seeing Merlin for whom he really is since Merlin is hiding less and less. But hey, Arthur reckons Merlin is wise!

Loved the dragon's line about Merlin's determination to seeing the good in people being his undoing.

    Arthur in the throne!

Arthur and Gwen keep being 2x10 and definitely 2x13.

Holy crap at Cenred's army! Squee, Arthur shakes Sir Leon's hand before the battle and Leon tries to stop Uther.

Yes! We were right and what Merlin senses is Morgana's magic. I love it every time he does that.

'You of all people can change Uther's mind'. Loved that line!

And omg at Merlin and Morgana's crossed stare at the end: open enemies from now on!

On that note, the show down between Morgana and Merlin is going to be epic!

Very bold start to the series.

    Fantastic episode.

    Favourite bits:

    - Always any scene with the Great Dragon

    - All Merlin-Arthur moments - agree Merlin is being more open in how much he helps Arthur but Arthur is being a dollophead in not recognising it.

    - Arthur & Guinevere scene yes similar to 2.06 but still lovely to watch - was desperate to see them lock lips.

    - Sir Leon fighting - he clearly enjoyed himself

    - Merlin and Morgana showdown and the promise of more to come.

The end trailer was different to the BFI preview - hope they release that one soon.

I don't think they cut anything from the BFI screening. Only difference was the trailer which was longer and covered more than one episode - similar to the trailer at the end of 2.01.

Yes, thank you, I meant just the trailer. I wonder why we aren't getting that one.

I have to say that Morgana's 'designer chainmail' is not that fashionable after all.

I would say from the way Cenred left that episode we are going to see him again.

Great contrast between Arthur getting stuck in - right in front of battle while Cenred looked on far away in safety.

I'd say so and I really hope so because it's an intriguing character. Morgause wasn't too shocked that Merlin was back in Camelot. I wonder what his plans for him are now.

Making him clean the leech tank. It has been 2 years.

The scene at the very beginning with arthur complaining he has no breeches, or socks. I mean come on is the man not capable or opening a cupboard or drawer.

Morgana was a little too evil with the Mandrake on Uther. She truly was torturing him.

    Lmao!

I think that Morgana's threat and Gaius' advise is gonna keep Merlin silent about Morgana, which makes their rivalry only more exciting to watch.

If his advise is to keep Merlin quiet then it's all going to come to a boiling point. Especially if Merlin keeps stopping Morgana. There was something else said in that episode that make me think that Morgana is Uther's daughter. The whole scene between Merlin and Giaus. How they can't understand why Uther is blind to Morgana's evil. Merlin and Arthur in Arthur's chambers, now that was funny.

Same here - wonder why it is taking so long. 3.03 trailer shown in this episode is on the BBC Merlin website.
