My addition happenend during the well scene so now 1 and 2 is the same scene for Guinevere. Also I don't think Merlin said Arthur will think of something.

    Ok then. So then it's:

'I have faith Arthur will become a great king' statements:
-Gwen tells Merlin that Arthur will think of something when she draws sand from the well.
-Morgana is sure Arthur is doing everything he can so his people get something to eat.

    Fun times making this list!

My time will come with those many smirks. There are so many of them, but we'll have to wait for Series 3...

At last I've rewatched it! lmao at the poor horse that was defaced to play the role of the unicorn...

RIP: Unicorn (although, well, it seems live and well at the end)
    Bodyporns: None.

I absolutely love the music in this episode... The sort of quest music that keeps coming back throughout...

I'm not sure I agree with Anhora's take on the third quest... I don't think Arthur was willing to die for Merlin. At this point he is aware that the plight of his people is all his doing, and he decides that it is his duty to die, and not Merlin's as he knows that wouldn't change anything to the curse on his people. That being said, he is probably warmed by Merlin's kind words for him, but it stops there. Oh, and doesn't that wheat field Arthur visits with his father at the beginning of the episode look very much like the battlefield at the beginning of TUP1?

I agree, I'm not convinced that Arthur was willing to die for Merlin (Merlin was, but then he was aware of their destiny) although he certainly didn't want Merlin to die in his place. He felt it was his responsibility to try and undo the curse, he is a man of honour indeed.
