Totally agree about Aredian! Alvarr was also an interesting and manipulative villain.

I didn't really like Cedric from 2x01, he was pretty boring.

This week lets do, the Best tear jerking scene, so the scene that brought tears to your eyes.

For me its when Merlin poisons Morgana in 2x12, ah it's so sad!

I have to agree with 2x12 as that's the one scene in Merlin that nearly did have me crying. Another sad and powerful scene for me is when Merlin sets fire to Freya at the end of The Lady of the Lake.

I agree with both of you, and 2x12 is certainly the most powerful. Helpless Merlin at the start of 3x05 nearly had me in tears too, though.

Most of the scenes where Merlin gets emotional make me emotional (that's how amazing of an actor Colin is to me). But to point out something different, I really love the scene in 1x13 where Uther carries Arthur in his arms, it always makes me teary.

I always cry watching the scene with Arthur and his mother in "Sins of the Father"...when she holds him and tells him she would have given her life willingly...Cry

I feel teary when Arthur has a tear rolling down his cheek when he is saying sorry to his father in Sins of the Father after Uther has 'lied' to him.

Hmmm... I must say I haven't really cried during any of the episodes. But seeing Morgana poisoned by a friend is definitely a sad sight. Also, the sight of her screaming at the sight of her sister lying unconscious on the floor, and all her hopes shattered, is also a poignant one.

When Arthur and Gwen are physically thorn apart in 3x10 Queen of Hearts, and his last words to Gwen are "I will always love you"...Aww

Unfortunately, the editing went wrong on this line with the slow-mo and all.

I agree, it was a really unfortunate editing. The slow mo should have come after the line was said. It ruins the scene a bit.

This week's catergory is The Best Merlin-Arthur scene of series 3.

My choice is Merlin insulting / trying to revive unconscious Arthur in 'The Crystal Cave'.

I agree, I would have picked the same one.

To name something different, the one at the end of "Gwaine" where Merlin teases Arthur about Gwen and then they kind of playfight as they walk towards the castle is a nice one.

I have agree with you both. Those would have been my first and second answers. *goes to think of something original* (Series 3 is not completely ingrained in my head. . .yet )

In Love in the Time of Dragons when Arthur tries to get Merlin to tell him what's wrong and then attempts to cheers him up by punching him on the arm.

Oh just thought of a second one, in Gwaine when they get to the pub at the beginning of the episode and Arthur claims they need to be simple peasants and Merlin says"the simple part's right" before changing it to "the sun is very bright" Classic

Lol, that reminded me of when the barmaid hits on Merlin and Arthur thought it was on him Another nice one.

I agree with Sarah on 'Sun is very bright!' moment, it was very funny. And also when Merlin made Arthur make that donkey sound!

For me I like the scenes where Merlin will say something wise and Arthur actually listens to him. I find these scenses touching.

One scene in particular was in the Changelling episode when Merlin said about his views about love and merriage to Arthur.

And also the scene in The Sorcerer's Shadow when Arthur asked Merlin what was he going to do about his dual with his father in the tournament. And Merlin told Arthur he should let the king win.

I agree, D-syfer. It's great to see Arthur listening and eventually taking Merlin's advice
