      • (Growling and shouts can be heard outside as the king dispatches in the throne room)
Uther: What the devil is going on?
        Merlin: There's a monster.
        Uther: A monster?
Merlin: It's horrible. Yellow. And has only one eye.
Uther: Arthur you must destroy it.
        Arthur: Immediately.

      • Gaius: My lord, I fear this is not ordinary monster.
Uther: You know of this beast?
Gaius: I do my lord. I believe it to be a…
        Uther: Spit it out man!
        Gaius: A… Pudsey, sire.
Uther: A Pudsey? It is a creature of magic so it must be destroyed.
Gaius: I believe it to be a creature of charity.
        Uther: Charity?
Gaius: Yes my lord. It needs to raise money, sire. Lots of money.
Uther: I will not have this creature fleece my kingdom!
Gaius: No, I did not mean that sire. Someone must be humiliated to amuse the public.
Uther: But who would do such a thing?
(All turn to Merlin. Cut to Merlin in the stock while people through vegetables at him).

      • (Admiring a little chest full of money with a little Pudsey on top)
Gaius: The public have been very generous, sire.
        Uther: Well done Gaius.
Gaius: Don't thank me sire, thank Merlin.
(Merlin arrives covered in the vegetables he's been thrown at)
Uther: (Laughs) I have in mind to honour this Pudsey every year.
Gaius: I'm sure Merlin would be thrilled, sire.
(Merlin makes a face and a vegetable appears out of nowhere to hit him in the head).

      • Uther: Do as your king commands. Give you money to Pudsey or I'll chop your head off.
