The total budget for all 13 episodes of Merlin is 5M pounds which equals the budget of 3 episodes of the average American prime-time tv drama. According to Julian Murphy, co-producer of the show, each episode takes some twelve to fifteen days to be filmed, and then six to eight weeks to be edited with especial effects and post production job.
