What are some of the references to the real life metal world that you spotted on the show?

    My list:

Burzums(restaurent): One man metal band "Burzum"
J.F. Amarth: Metal band "Amon Amarth"
Dimmu Burger: Metal band "Dimmu Borgir
Fintrolls (grocery store): Metal Band "Finntroll"
James Grishnack: Mayhem band member "Varg Vikernes" (aka Count Grishnackh"
Skwisgarr said "Godless Endeaverous" in Dethklown: Nevermore's Album "This Godless Endeavor"

I'm sure there are more that I missed.

Marduk's Putt n Stuff = metal band Marduk

Gorgoroth's Medical Supply = metal band Gorgoroth

Behemoth Productions = metal band Behemoth

Nathan's speech over the intercom at Fintrolls included the phrases "Rotting Body Landslide," "Every Bone Broken [chicken]," and "Hammer Smashed Face" = Cannibal Corpse song titles

There's just way to many to mention!

Hey, don't feel bad. This was still a fun thread to post on...maybe you can include a disclaimer stating that people can only post the allusions they knew before seeing them noted in the episode pages. I'm sure that most people are honest.

There's a lot of allusions on the show that I actually picked up on before I saw them noted on the episode pages. It's good to know I'm not the only person who is detail-oriented.

The entire episode "Dethcarraldo" is a reference to Sepultura (Portuguese for "grave") recording an album with the Xavante. But the Xavante are from the Xingu region, not the Amazon.

Come to think of it, Nathan's a bit tall to be any kind of Brazilian Indian.

Just off the top of my head...

    Gojira's Driving School

Guy driving the truck in Deathgov "I'm a Lunatic of God's Creation" (Deicide)

"I'd rather be sanded faceless" (Cannibal Corpse)

Hope to see a lot more sunday night!!!

    Hey guys!

Good work with the metal illusions. Some illusions are in the episode pages, but if you notice one and it isn't in the episode guide, feel free to edit the posting to include it. There are heaps and heaps of illusions in the episodes, so keep your eyes peeled!

Actually, Dethcarraldo is referencing a movie called Fitzcarraldo. Which had Mick Jagger in a role if I'm not mistaken.
