Episode Summary

When Kat Von D leaves for L.A., Ami and Nunez have to find a new artist to replace her. The first applicant is Tasi Lyn from Long Beach, California. Meanwhile, Garver helps a woman who wants a vampire-related tattoo.

Kat has left the shop and thus Ami and Nunez have to look hard to find a replacement for her. It's funny when you look back and know that they only brought Kat in because they needed someone to cover for Darren when he broke his wrist.moreless

Nunez and Ami have brought in Tsai Lynn for the week to try her out. The first 'interview' goes well, the guy's are rather impressed with her and she seems nice. The one thing I noticed was that if she has any tat's, they are all covered up; which is fine, but it makes me think that she's new to the game. She informs the guy's that she likes to go hiking, of which they inform her that Miami is the 'flatest place on the planet'.
She comes in on her first day late. There doesn't appear to be any apologises for being late either, until Ami asks her why she is an hour late. There doesn't appear to be an actual excuse, aside form her always being late.
Garver get's to do a really cool tattoo of a hot vampire woman on a vampire woman. This has got to be the best tattoo in terms of sexiness that I have ever seen. While the woman wants her vampire to have bat like wings, Garver find that they don't work very well with the whole design that he's doing, and he knows that this vampire will want her tattoo to be showning a fair bit of sex appeal. The outcome looks amazing.
Tasi Lynn is also doing a tattoo for a zombie movie lover - that is a guy who loves movies about zombies - which she thought would be easy for her to do, since she loves that kind of stuff, but it has taken her a while to get it all done and the guy's help her out with the whole drawing - which they are happy to do, they do it to each other so why not? However the only complaint is that she takes so long to draw up a sketch.
Ami also did a tattoo for an 80+ year old lady, who only wanted her initial 'A' on her shoulder 'in case I get blown away and they need to identify me' - who could argue with logic like that?
Also Tasi had said that she did tennis, which was used as an excuse to have a couple of the guy's go to the tennis court, looking so funny in their get-up and the fact that Ami wore a wig was just too funny for words.

At the end of the week the guy's bid Tasi farewell, but they are still looking our for another artist. Tsai was a nice girl and a very good artist, but she was late on her very first day and she wasn't what Nunez and Ami would want in a busy tattoo shop. The over all feeling of the show was okay, but it was like the team spirit had gone from the group.moreless

I really enjoyed this episode, I got kinda tired of sitting around for an hour, but other than the lenght of the show, I really liked it. I really liked the vampire pin-up tattoo that that vampire lady got, I wouldent mind getting something like that hahaha. I liked that old lady who came in and got the tattoo of the A, that's original, and you dont see many 80 year old ladies going in for tattoos. I dident like how they put the whole tennis thing into the show, I want to watch a show about tattooing, not tennis!! grrrr...But other than that, It was a really great episode.moreless
