    i've never seen a better cop show either and  probably never will. way too original.

    Miami Vice had sensitive male characters and brave strong female characters. Remember that woman mechanic who scolded Sonny about his Ferrari? She was funny. Besides the kooky eighties garb and hairstyles were the color schemes, conceived as a separate character. When I watch the DVD's (I have seasons 1,2,3) I'm impressed by the number of famous people who performed on the show. Miami Vice blended action and romance between couples, stake-out partners, and fast cars. Castillo had the darkest authority on the right side of the law I have ever seen. A severe stark shoreline amongst the waves.

    My FAVORITE cop show of all time and one of my FAVORITE TV shows of all time.
