The team is protecting a man named Joey Bramlette, a small time drug runner from the Glades who is going to testify against a major drug dealer. When Switek and Zito take over, they give him an envelope. When they look away for a moment, he walks out. When they inform Castillo, he sends Crockett and Tubbs to go after him. They're told that he has to be in court in 48 hours. They start by going to the Glades and eventually they find him. He tells them the man he's going to testify against kidnapped his daughter and threatens to kill her if he testifies. Crockett and Tubbs asks him why didn't he just do it. He knows that the man will kill her even if he does what he says. He ran cause he hoped they would follow him, so they could help him rescue her. Only problem is that there only a handful of them while there are three times more men at the place where they are holding her. They come up with a plan that's a long shot. In the end it works. Back in Miami, the prosecutor is asking for more time but the judge is not willing to give it. And just as he was going to declare the trial over, Crockett and Tubbs show up with Bramlette. That's when he takes the stand and Crockett and Tubbs sit down breathing a sigh of relief.
