I remembered watching this the first time when I was a teen, and I still love it today.

The story is about Crockett and Tubbs searching for the Crayon Killer, someone killing men on the Miami streets. Meanwhile, Tubbs befriends Jackie, a woman with a tough past and a boyfriend named Cat who Tubbs doesn't like.

However, we discover that Jackie (played by singer Fiona Flanigan) is the Crayon Killer, and that Cat helps cover for her and desperately tries to get her to stop and protect her.

Tubbs is also protective but unprepared when she shows up at the squadroom looking for "Ricardo." He wants to get her help, but refuses her advances.

Tubbs sets up Jackie at a safehouse. Somehow (I forget) Cat learns the location. Crockett is able to discover that Jackie is the ripper. Crockett and Cat both race to the house, where Jackie has bound Tubbs and began burning her drawings again. Cat, on a motorcycle, breaks through the door as Crockett gets out of the way. But no one can save Jackie from herself. She feels haunted that Rico really tried to help her, and she shoots herself, unable to kill him.

This ep features excellent details. The music, from Nugent's title song to the ending refrain of Public Image Ltd's Lydon imparting "This is what you want, this is what you get", carries the story. And the seedy locales (Club Sex) make you want to shower after the show ends.moreless
