Mickey Dunne is a 1967 comedy drama on BBC about a streetwise boy, who
loves to gamble and who never goes hungry because of his wit. Mickey
uses his gift for gab to attract female friends who give him free meals.
As he grows older, however, he becomes helpful to people in need,
including animals like birds. Though he also has to deal with his own
problems and suffers bouts with loneliness, he always picks himself up.
Dinsdale Landen played Mickey in 13 episodes of the show before being
replaced by John Turner.
