  • An apparent suicide makes it look as though there won't be much work for Barnaby and Troy but this one will keep you guessing as it becomes more complicated by the minute!

Susan Bartlett has been depressed for some time and it's no secret, after all, she had been suffering from the condition for some time due, apparently to her inability to conceive a child. When Susan is found dead, the police believe they are dealing with a straight forward case of suicide but change their minds when further routine investigations uncover the fact that the suicide note she apparently wrote on her computer was composed AFTER her time of death.

This revelation sends Barnaby and Troy on a complex investigation into what really took place, searching for a person who wanted her dead and why.

The on-screen chemistry between John Nettles as Tom Barnaby and Daniel Casey as Gavin Troy is excellent, they make a brilliant boss and sidekick combination so it was a great shame when Daniel left the series after twenty-nine episodes but this, like just about all the others, is of a very high standard and will definitely keep you wondering who dunnit and why.
