  • This episode had a very creepy aspect to it all the way through and that made it rather interesting, as did the introduction of Barnaby's new partner.

    9.0
Tom Barnaby's new partner, Detective Dan Scott, arrives in Midsomer fresh from the Metropolitan Police in London. Scott is not terribly impressed with his new surroundings and makes it known to all and sundry. He is very arrogant and Tom is not thrilled by this. Scott, however, soon has to buckle down to country life and country policing when a local woman is murdered on her way home from a flamenco night at the Midsomer Mallow village hall. She has been brutally stabbed and Barnaby and Scott are baffled when people report hearing a strange sort of squeaking noise on the night of this (and subsequent) murders. As the body count rises, Scott realises that life in rural England isn't as dull and quiet as he first thought it would be.moreless
