The First Face Off- Part 1
AIRED:
A team of human-sized ducks in hockey uniforms playing against other teams brings curiosity to police captain Clegghorn who asks the team's manager Phil Palmfeather about their origin. Phil explains via flashback that the ducks came from Puckworld, a planet in another dimension where hockey is a way of life and ducks are the dominant species, as far as one can tell. A legendary hero named Drake Dukane banished an evil race of reptilian beings called Saurians into an unknown dimension with the help of a high-tech hockeymask. Years later, the last group of Saurians, led by an evil tyrant named Lord Dragaunus, escaped from their dimensional prison. Soon he and his minions, the strong and technical genius Siege, the wizard Wraith, and the shapeshifter Chameleon, started attacking Puckworld. To fight Dragaunus, the Ducks' original leader, Canard, assembled a team of heroes. They were a tomboy soldier named Mallory, a sword wielding ex-theif named Duke La'Orange, a techno-geek named Tanya, and a strong but spiritual hunk named Grin. Soon, Wildwing and his teenage brother Nosedive joined. After a failed sabotage attempt at Dragaunus' fortress, Dragaunus and his men escaped into a gateway in his ship, the Raptor. The Ducks chased after them in their ship, the Aerowing. Dragaunus tried to ditch our heroes by releasing an electromagnetic "worm" on them to make them disappear. Before he sacrificed himself and vanished forever, Canard gave the mask to Wildwing, thus making him leader. The Ducks entered our world and the show ends with the words "To Be Continued."moreless
