How did Warmonger and Skullmaster get back to Skull Mountain? And how did they get back out later? Can they suddenly travel through the portals?
Portals stay fixed in one location, and Max was summoned to Zero Island through a portal that the plane he was on was flying through at that very instant. Yet when the heroes escape the island it's back through the same portal and into the same plane. The plane would have been a significant distance away from where Max had gone through it by then.
Norman: Time to bash some heads in!
(Hydra transforms the clouds into piles of falling plywood.)
Max: Oh I do believe the sky is falling.
(they get on one of the fallen pieces of wood in the water to escape)
Max: Well surfs up Chicken Little.
Virgil: I'm a fowl actually!
Max: Virgil, the prophecy has got to have something to say about this mess?
Virgil: With Skull Master's demise, the prophecy no longer applies! Nothing but chaos remains.
Norman: Works for me!
(Skull Master has achieved off setting the balance of nature, but he needs the page of control to have dominion over the now totally dark Hydra)
Skull Master: The page of control, not here, but that's impossible.
(Warmonger approaches from behind with the page in his hand)
Warmonger: It was you who taught me that nothing is impossible. That even a faithful servant treated like a dog, might invoke the power of the Arcana... to gain control of the most powerful force in the world.
Max: What's going on here?
Virgil: Oh merely the end of the world!
Max: Ha, ha. Oh good. I was afraid it was something serious.
Virgil's means of summoning: Sending a message through gigantic ground lights so that Max could see it all the way up from an airplane. The message is "Max go to the restroom." The airplane that Max was on flew into a portal.
Educational Epilogue: Geography (latitude and longitude)
The Lemurian Sun symbol was the page that Skull Master feared Max would use to destroy him.
Hydra was based on the Double demon figure from the Battle Max line of Mighty Max toys.
