When a show is mainly about two people it's always tricky to enter the marriage part of it all too soon. That's why when Mike is confronted with the possibility of marrying Molly it feels forced and very soon. Seven months is a ridiculous short time for anyone to get engaged and so the topic doesn't have to be that big of deal.

For the sake of comedy the situation becomes awkward and both parties have to find help from their comedic best friends and parents. Never does the episode get extremely funny though the relationship of Mike's mother with her boyfriend is by far the funnest. Melissa McCarthy can do no wrong in my eyes and she is a little ball of sunshine through out the episode too bad her co-star has no facial expression what so ever. It ruins the chemistry and the possibility of anyone buying into a possible proposal. The episode however saves itself by a lovely proposal that actually feels genuine. That and the camera passing by every cast member as the main couple tells each other they love each other makes up for a decent finale.moreless
