Episode Summary

Brave Sir Lancelot / The Big Game
Brave Sir Lancelot: Lu makes Lancelot paint her throne gold. But when she sits on it, the paint is still wet and she gets so angry at him, she banishes him to the jungle. But she feels guilty afterward and goes after him with Mike and Og. Lancelot meets the Enoluscians, a lost tribe of mythical turtles who revere him as their king as he's coated with gold paint. But they capture the kids and prepare them to be a meal until Lancelot comes to their rescue. When it rains, Lancelot is revealed to be a regular turtle when the gold paint washes off and the gang have to go through various obstacles to flee the wrath of the Enoluscians, including a giant turtle residing in a cave. The Big Game: It's Lady Hewitt-Smythe Day on the island and it's celebrated with a game of croquet--played on elephants. Mike gets one named Abelard, who has low self-esteem since he's never won, while undefeated Lu rides a champion pachyderm. Mike tries to get to know Abelard better and builds his confidence in time for the big game, and together they win. But victory goes to the elephant's head, causing him to wreck the whole village, forcing everyone to rebuild their homes.moreless

    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • Goof: In Brave Sir Lancelot, when Mike, Lu, Og and Lancelot run on the back of the beast, one off Mike's sneakers can be seen clearly, but later on, the sneaker is gone.

      • Goof: In The Big Game, before the wombat falls out of the tree, Alfred's elephant is light gray, but afterward, it becomes dark gray.

      • Goof: In Elephant Walk, the kids were prohibited by the adults to ride elephants. But in The Big Game, Mike and Lu seem to be freely allowed to do so.

    • QUOTES (2)

      • Lu: (after her defeat) Hey, this is not fair! I'm supposed to win. I'm always supposed to win! I am Lady Hewitt-Smythe!

      • (As the group cleans up the mess caused by Abelard the elephant)
Mike: I guess there's a lesson here. (Og agrees) I guess you can give an elephant, uh, a New York swagger, but...
Lu: But it's cheating and I really should have won anyway?
        Mike: No.
Margery: But you'd better keep them away from the kitchen?
        Mike: No.
Alfred: You can't guarantee it won't go off on some wild tear, ruining entire towns and villages?
Mike: No. You can give an elephant a New York swagger, but I--I guess it's not a good idea. (Abelard continues causing damages)
Wendel: Oooooh! I believe he's just put a hole through my teapot collection.

    • NOTES (1)

      • Queeks and Wendel don't appear in Brave Sir Lancelot with Alfred and Margery only having non-speaking cameos. One of the Enoluscians in the first short bears a strong resemblence to Queeks.
