Episode 1
A CCTV tape reveals Janis and Croker having sex in the galley, and Will and Jack scamming. Will and Marco both race down the route to try to recover the tape. Marco gives her the tape. His life is now meaningless.

Lehann (who is quietly dating Croker) sees the tape and is furious. Marvin comforts her. They get together - until Lehann sees his 'wife' and kids back at London airport.

  • Janis, Croker, Will and Jack could all be in trouble when a tape is revealed, which could also spell heartache for Marco.

Will is shocked to learn that Fresh has installed a vdeotape to catch cabin crew who are stealing airline supplies (ie, him and Jack). They go looking for it, and get more then they bargained for - the tape also caught Janis and Croker having sex in the galley. Leeann (who is secretly seeing Croker) stumbles upon the tape and is devastated, throwing a bucket of ice on the philandering pilot before leaving him. Marco also stumbles upon the tape, and is devastated to learn Janis has been seeing Croker. Even worse, she loves him, despite how shabbily he treats her. Marco is devastated but hands over the tape because he loves her; Janis then uses it against Will.

Meanwhile, Jack is on holiday with his sister Poppy and her friend. Poppy is disgusted when Jack cheated on his girlfriend with her friend, and ends up contemplating life on a beach, only to see Marco jumping off a jetty in full uniform. She rushes in to save him, only to have HIM end up saving HER. She's immediately smitten.

No matter how much of a cow she is, I always come away feeling sorry for Janis (I pity her, not sympathise). She's good a sweetheart who would dote on her, but instead she pines for a man who treats her like crap, eagerly lapping up whatever crumbs he deigns to throw her way.

Meanwhile, Will is devastated to realise how desperately in love with Janis Marco is, not understanding why Marco won't date him, saying 'she's twice the man I am' which ends up with Marco decking Will. However, they're too good friends to let something like that get in the way of their friendship, and soon get over it.

This is tawdry, sleaxy British soap at it's best, and this episode did not disappoint me. 8/10.moreless
