I heard a lot of chatter over the internet about a movie planned on Millennium. Chris Carter said that unless the boxsets of the series sell well it is unlikely a movie will be made, but so far the Millennium boxsets have been selling well.

I've been hearing these same rumors.

Already, an independent production group has released a sequel film, of sorts, entitled "Millennium: Apocalypse". It focuses on Jordan, when she's become a young woman.  You can get it through amazon.com

It's not official, but it's a damn good story.

I know it's about Jordan and all, but did they ever have Frank make an appearance in it?

It would be so cool to see a Millennium movie. But Chris Carter has to be involved.

    That's true, sadly enough.

I'd love to see a Millennium Movie. I got the DVD box set off amazon.co.uk and it's damn amazing, so dark and edgey, also very relevant to today, just change the title and name of the group from Millennium to 2012. Like the fool that I am though I opened the season 1 box backwards and watched the last disc before the first disc (you'd think I'd notice, apparently not) so I was worried that would ruin it for me (knowing what happened to Catherine) but each episode is a separate case so it doesn't really matter (except for the polaroids).

Anyone else see the x-files panel thing? I thought his comment about CSI was funny and true, I think that shows like CSI are extremely soulless (I still watch them and like them though), Millennium is way closer to what I like my crime shows to be like, all dark and twisted and a bit psychological. It even has John Locke in it (Terry O'Quinn is the man)! I hear from Season 2 it goes off into supernatural and weird stuff, (I'm on the second disc having already watched the last mind) which I'm looking forward to the change in style.

Maybe when Chris Carter is done making the x-files movie (can't wait for that) he'll make a Millennium one.

I really believe the best chance of a Millennium movie lies in the success or otherwise of the forthciming X-Files movie. If Chris gets a hit from that he'll be back in the driving seat at FOX. Plus from what I've read on various websites is that the X-Files movie is going to cost around $30-35 million to make. That seems stupidly low considering the talent they have on board. When I think of Millennium the only real requirement if Lance, anything else is a bonus. Surely it would be worth spending a few million dollars on a Millennium movie! I really feel that if all the Millennium fans help make X-Files 2 a huge success we'll see a Millennium movie.

Something I came across a couple days ago:

"On 2 March 2008, Lance Henriksen was asked at the Scandinavian SciFi Convention about the future of Millennium. He answered that what he had heard from Chris Carter, Carter's next project after the Untitled X-Files sequel would indeed be the Millennium motion picture. The rumor of a film proved even more possible by a user uploaded video link from http://millennium-thisiswhoweare.net/index.php."

This is quoted off wikipedia - not meaning, of course, that it's true but if Lance said it's true then it atleast seems like a distinct possibility.

Wow! That is great news if it turns out to be right. From other rumblings in the past, it's clear Chris Carter and Lance Henriksen both want to do this movie. I bet if X-Files 2 fares well, we may see this one coming up.

Although I still think that a Millennium movie (or series of movies) would fare better going directly to DVD. The cost can be lower and, let's face, it, Millennium does not have the size of The X-Files' fanbase.

My question would be would this movie pick up where Season 3 ended, or would it be a "stand-alone" like the upcoming X-Files flick?

Probably they would make it stand-alone, since the mythology in the series was just as complex and casual viewers wouldn't get it. I can't see it happening myself, since Millennium wasn't as popular as The X Files. Fox owns the rights, so that effectively stops an independent crew picking it up and making it.

That's not saying I wouldn't mind seeing it happen though. Anything with the might LH in it and I'm there.
