My question is, How could they do a Millennium movie if they wrapped up the series in The X-files episode "Millennium?"

The answer is simple: the show wasn't wrapped up in the episode.

The current talk is that Lance Henrikson has been approached about doing an independant Millennium film with Fox distributing it but possible no invovlement with Chris Carter. I'd be happy with anything at this point. Chris Carter didn't have much involvement and wrote hardly nothing in season 2 of Millennium and we see how epic that was. Chris got back at the helm in season 3 and um yeah on that. Season 1 and 2 are better than 3 by far. I enjoyed it overall though. I just want something to close it even as a big screen movie!

CC did nothing in season 2, allowing Morgan and Wong to control it. He was confused when he took over the reigns in s3.
