Later, Jordan sees the woman in hospital and seems adamant that Catherine should help her... because she will save Frank's life. This is not the first time that a Chris Carter series has unknowingly prognosticated the fall of the two towers--the pilot of The Lone Gunmen, a spin-off of The X-Files, had a plot similar to that of the September eleventh event, but the entire series aired before September of 2001.

      • The majority of the first half of the episode could be partially influenced by Rashomon. Rashomon is a movie about a bunch of people giving different accounts of the same event, and it displays a theme of how all accounts are true, and there is no one single truth, which is completely stated by Tamara when Frank is interrogating her.

      • Episode Title: Siren

        In Greek Mythology a siren was a sea nymph (half woman and half bird), that lured sailors along rocky coasts of their islands with irresistible singing voices, where they were shipwrecked and devoured by them.
