    "Perfect"
This, along with Seinfeld, is my favourite ever TV show. Being from the UK I can appreciate the settings, characters and slang that the show used consistently throughout its run but mainly the presence of George Cole as Arthur Daley lifted this above many other shows of its era to catapult it into another level and routinely draw in 15 million viewers.
Coles Daley is the ultimate rogue, always out for a quick buck, but whereas many other TV characters of the same ilk would stop short of going over the edge of the illegal, Daley happily jumps into trouble and regularly pins the blame on his friends to save his own skin.
Cole and Waterman were a perfect duo on screen and it is a shame we dont see more of the like today.moreless
