I expected this programme to be average when I first read about it and watched the promos but was really happy after seeing it. Not only does it combine a tonne of different aspects but also allows some people to relate to the problems that they are facing such as Nathan being homeless and Simon's shyness towards the world.

I would recommend this programme although I must admit I was a bit disappointed to see yet another programme that focused almost 3/4 of its contents on sex. A certain amount is acceptable in a show like this which was expected to have some in but went a tad overboard.

Definitley going to keep watching though. So far Nathan is my favourite character.moreless

Great start to what could be a brilliant show!

I decided to watch this due to it looking like the super powered version of 'Skins', another British teenage based show. And I'm really glad I came across it, the actors play their characters perfectly and the plot and script in this episode was cleverly written, being able to show the seriousness of a moment then turning it into something hilarious (mainly thanks to the brilliant Nathan.)

The basic plot begins with 5 teenage outcasts who are on community service for doing something bad. The prohibition worker tries to help them but they all make fun of him. Anyways as time goes on a storm hits and before they can get inside the community centre they are all hit by lighting. Then the real story begins and the prohibition worker turns into a complete maniac, trying to kill our heroes as his power turns out to be the ability to turn into some maniac with super strength and anger issues. As time goes on the teenagers also develop their powers which seem to connect with how their personality is.

Simon, the awkward, shy, quiet one who has trouble getting people to notice him has the ability to turn completely invisible without anyone being able to see, feel or hear him. Kelly the classic chav who is very self conscious has the ability to read minds. Curtis the successful athlete who was destined for greatness but got caught with a little bit of heroine has the ability to turn back time when he sees a future event. Then there's Alisha who tries to get her way by using her good looks and body , she now has the gift of putting undying lust into any man she touches, willing to do anything to 'have' her. Finally there's Nathan who hasn't received a power... yet. But like he says he 'wants one from the A-List' and with him being the star and turning out to be the leader of the super powered teens, I'm sure if you keep watching it will be very exciting seeing what his power turns out to be.

I would recommend this show to anyone.moreless

Excellent start to the show

To be honest I wasn't going to watch this show but since there was nothing else to watch on tv, I switched to E4 and watched it anyway. And I'm glad I actually watched it coz it's brilliant. It's that 'Heroes' but people developed powers after a storm hit England (could have happened to the whole world). The probation officer and 4 of the young offenders got power - one of them can see the future, one can hear people's, one can turn invisible and the another one can seduce anyone who touches her and the probation officer turned evil. Really liked the action and am also loving the main character - don't really know his name yet - who doesn't have any powers yetmoreless
