A security chief helped steal a valuable isotope, but his assistant is dead and he doesn't know who the other assistant was, who hid the isotope. IMF must find and remove the isotope before it is sold to an enemy country.
This is a very good Mission Impossible plot, because of the inevitability of the outcome. Once the plot is put into play, the psychology of the enemy compels the result. Each of the two living thieves is compelled to act, as dictated by the IMF plan. Paris impersonates the dead thief, but has amnesia and so does not know where the isotope is. Jim interrogates him. Leonard Nimoy is outstanding, as he recalls his youth and eventually the theft. The lovely Julie Gregg gets the information on the isotope's location from the thief who knows where it is and imparts the information to Paris through a coded message. Then Paris reveals the location to the other living theif and the two meet at the location. The inevitable shot occurs, while the IMF team escapes in a truck.
