  • This is fairly standard fare for Mission:Impossible. A complex plot with plenty of impersonations and gadgetry. Rollin even needs to improvise when the enemy notices the devices that the team added in the test room. Another clever plot.

This time the IMF is saving the world from a horrible mutant bacteria, developed by the enemy's Dr. Beck. They must contrive to eliminate all traces of the bacteria and Dr. Beck as well, in order to rid the world of this threat.

They manage to do this through a very elaborate con. Dr. Beck is vulnerable because he has not yet received his promised payment for his work and thus will at least consider a bribe. The IMF carefully let the enemy know that Beck is being bribed. That causes the enemy themselves to kill Beck once the plot has developed. The IMF manage to control and destroy the bacteria through Barney's efforts. He infiltrates their compound and intercepts the bacteria.

Rollin's role as the prisoner who will be used as the test subject for the bacteria shows his versality. He has to improvise in the plot when a short in the microphone causes the enemy to enter the test room, only to discover the devises that Barney has planted. He goes crazy, knocking out the enemy. That leads to his being handcuffed; therefore he must figure out another way to take the pill that Barney slipped into the room in order to induce the symptoms of the bacteria. With his usual ingenuity, he manages to find a way.
