    • QUOTES (3)

      • Mr. Rogers: Playing about something is a really good way to do the real thing if it's something you're very interested in. In fact, when I was a little boy, I used to play that I was a song writer. I had a lot of instruments--some toy instruments. But I liked to write songs and pretend that I was writing them to sing them to families on television. Now here I am really doing it. It helps to play about things. It helps you to know how it really feels.

      • Mr. Rogers: I know some people who get very angry when something they have doesn't work or doesn't play. They get mad and sad and won't even talk about it. But I know other people who do something about it to try to make it better. Of course, you can't always fix something, but you can always try.

      • Handyman Negri: How are you?
        Henrietta: Meow particulary meow.
        Handyman Negri: Oh, what's wrong?
        Henrietta: Meowthing.
X: Come on, Hen. It must be something. You don't feel blah for nothing.
        Henrietta: Meow do.

    • NOTES (2)

      • Mister Rogers briefly suggests to Mr. McFeely the habit of a telephone ringing just after one hangs up; if answered, it's the same line with whom you had just contacted.

      • Friday's Comet was Make-Believe's answer to the hoopla surrounding Halley's Comet, which came back to Earth in April 1986.
