EDIT
Curiosity (1)
AIRED:
Rogers uses a frame to concentrate on small sections of a large mural. Seeing a set of vegetables in one section of the mural, he reflects on a visit to an "edible school yard" (vegetable garden). In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII is irritated when Purple Panda and his compatriot, Little Panda, fool him. He commands that they cancel all curiosity. (This costs the entire Neighborhood a chance to see a rolled-up piece of paper Mayor Maggie has brought.)moreless

    • TRIVIA (0)

    • QUOTES (2)

      • Mr. Rogers: Are you curious about a lot of things? Do you wonder about things? I know I do. I'm glad that there's no rule about not being curious in our real neighborhood.

      • Mr. Rogers: Did you ever grow anything in a vegetable garden or a flower garden? Do you ever grow anything in the garden of your mind? Sure, you can grow ideas in your mind. You can think about things and make-believe things, and that's like growing something of your own. You have wonderful ideas. All you have to do is think about them and they'll grow.

    • NOTES (1)

      • Back on September 6, 1999, all broadcasts of PBS Kids shows had changed their closing ID. Rather than the animated threesome looking like the PBS Everyone logo, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood and other shows went to a circular green logo, with the online address pbskids.org tucked in one corner.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • King Friday XIII: We are not amused today.
Queen Victoria's most famous line, "We are not amused," has added meaning when someone of royalty uses it.
