    • Mister Rogers: Did you ever know any grown-ups who got married and then later they got a divorce? Well, it is something that people can talk about, and it's something important. I know a little girl and a little boy whose mother and father got a divorce...and those children cried and cried. Do you know why? Well, one reason was is because they thought it was all their fault. Of course, it wasn't their fault. Things like weddings, and having babies, and buying houses and cars, and getting divorces are all grown-up things.

    • Prince Tuesday: Well, I don't mind having good feelings, but I don't like the bad ones.
Mr. McFeely: Well, I know how you feel, young man, but there's one thing I'd like to tell you.
      Prince Tuesday: What is that?
Mr. McFeely: I'm sure glad to know you.
      Prince Tuesday: Why?
Mr. McFeely: Because if you're concerned about feelings, you're growing up to be somebody who cares about people.
Prince Tuesday: Well, I don't like people to be mad at each other.
