Mister Rogers' Neighborhood

Season 21 Episode 11

Dress-Up (1)

Aired Unknown Aug 26, 1991 on PBS

Episode Recap

Rogers brings a bag containing a toy raccoon and a raccoon mask. He says he likes dressing up and reflects on the dance of the raccoons from Show #1120 (flashback; the "Tomorrow" opening is discarded). But Rogers explains that wearing a mask does not change who he (or the Trolley) is.
In the NOM, Harriet Elizabeth Cow tells Lady Aberlin that the schoolchildren are planning a play. They tell their plan to King Friday XIII disguised as a bird (which scares Mimus polyglottos and Troglodytes aedon from the Castle). Lady Aberlin agrees to direct the school play. A silent ballet dancer visits, and her dance inspires Ana Platypus to be a ballerina in the play. When Lady Aberlin visits the Clock, she sees Daniel wearing a raccoon mask. He will play a raccoon in the play.
Back at the television house, Rogers makes a raccoon mask out of a paper bag and black yarn.
