Episode Recap

Rogers has a tapestry bag bearing people forming letters of the alphabet. Inside the bag is a new book, The Speedy Delivery Alphabet Book (unavailable). Rogers calls Mrs. McFeely, asking that when Mr. McFeely returns home, he should see Rogers. To pass the time, Rogers reads The Speedy Delivery Alphabet Book. It shows ways Mr. McFeely could deliver things (of course an elephant is among them!). The one word no one has ever heard before is "xebec" (a boat). After Rogers sings Alphabet Song for the only time post-75, he takes a call from Mr. McFeely. Rogers says he has a pick-up for Mr. McFeely, not a delivery. In the NOM, Cousin Stephen Owl can't catch the speeding Trolley. He reports to King Friday his inabilities. Prince Tuesday recites his speedy alphabet at the King's request. Miss Paulifficate has one phone call each for Tuesday and Cousin Stephen Owl. Tuesday talks to Daniel, who asks his presence at the Clock. Cousin Stephen hears from X the Owl. At the Tree, X tells Cousin Stephen an idea to slow down the Trolley. Cousin Stephen goes inside the Tree, oblivious to a strand of vine Lady Aberlin sweeps up. She dances with the vine near the Clock. Prince Tuesday is the first to see the vine. He asks that Lady Aberlin talk to Daniel. Daniel is sad that he can't recite the alphabet quickly. He can spell his name and a few important words. Tuesday doesn't know how to spell "I Love You," so Daniel teaches him. Daniel and Tuesday agree they learn things best slowly. Then Daniel suggests Lady Aberlin use her vine to stop the Trolley. She lays the vine across the tracks. Miss Paulifficate distracts her with a phone call, which proves fatal to a Trolley apprehension. Back at the television house, Mr. McFeely arrives. He says he is unsure about this pick-up that is not a delivery. Rogers presents the book to him. Mr. McFeely shows Rogers a Funny Fast Film (time-lapse video, really) of him raking leaves.
