Episode Recap

Rogers brings to the kitchen a bag. The major object in the bag is a mixing bowl with granola. He mixes raisins into the granola, and puts samples of it in plastic bags for several neighbors. Rogers explains that some people don't have enough food. "Having enough to eat and to share," he says, "is a very good feeling." Rogers calls Mr. McFeely to check when he is going to deliver tofu. When he does arrive, Mr. McFeely also has a film (video, really) on making tofu. After the screening, Rogers gives McFeely the three bags of granola. He puts them in a box kept in his delivery tricycle. In the NOM, Queen Sara tells Lady Aberlin of her Food for the World program. She discusses X the Owl's "speedy seeds." Bob Dog meets X at his Tree. The planted vegetables have come up, as they and Henrietta witness. X invites Henrietta and Bob to dinner. When everyone isn't looking, however, a goat pops up and takes all the planted vegetables. Bob Dog has invited Lady Aberlin to X's for dinner. They find all the plants gone. Everyone is disappointed, X most of all. X will plant more "speedy seeds." Lady Aberlin wants to find out what happened to the plants. She goes to the Museum-Go-Round, where Betty Okonak Templeton is in charge today. Lady Elaine has been planting a garden in Southwood, but she emerges in disgust. All her plants are gone. Bob Dog stays at the Tree to guard X's garden. Back at the television house, Rogers talks of how he had taken cupcakes from his grandmother. His grandfather had suggested Rogers had to be lonely to take them. Songs: Won't You Be My Neighbor?, What Do You Do With The Mad That You Feel?, A Lonely Kind Of Thing, Good Feeling.
